In 2010 Abavas winery established one of the most northern vineyards in the world right on 57th north paralel.It was planed and cared for with great love and affection, and now bears the first fruits.

Our Rondo Reserve wine was made to provide a unique experience of northern viticulture and can be proud of its elegant viscosity and ripen character.The wine has a medium body. The aroma is dominated by cherries, pepper and chocolate, whilst the taste gives elegant cherry notes. Wine is kept in french oak barrel, which gives it pleasant tannins in the aftertaste.

Rondo 2021 Reserve has become the first wine in the Baltics awarded with prestigious Decanter World Wine Awards BRONZE, marking Latvia on the world wine map.
